February 2007
February 6: "Understanding the Middle East Conflict: Beyond the Headlines"
NCJW is sponsoring an educational evening program entitled "Understanding the Middle East Conflict: Beyond the Headlines" on Feb 6 from 7:00-8:30pm at the St Paul JCC. This presentation, given by Holly Brod Farber, Israel Affairs Chair of NCJW and program coordinator at the Jewish Community Relations Council, explores the context behind the nightly news of Israel and her neighbors. You will hear both personal stories and historic facts. Our goal is for you to end the evening feeling proud, informed and up to date on the most recent news from this region. If you have concerns about Israel's situation and want to learn how to engage in a provocative and informed manner, please join us. This program is free. Please respond if you plan to come by email at info@ncjw.org.

February 13:  Jewish Women’s Morning at the Capitol
Jewish Women’s Morning at the Capitol, NCJW’s annual legislative day, will be held on February 13, 2007. The event, co-sponsored with Hadassah, brings Jewish women from across the Twin Cities to the State Capitol to learn about important issues facing our state and to meet with their state senator and representative. No experience is necessary, as all participants will be trained on speaking with their legislators and briefed on the issues. This year we have added a new component, an optional luncheon immediately following the program offering an opportunity to socialize and discuss this powerful experience. We encourage everyone to bring a friend and come for this worthwhile event. Click here for the registration form.
Please print and mail your registration form by February 8th.
