NCJWSt. Paul Section Solar Cooker Fundraiser
Tuesday, December 8, Fasika Ethiopian Restaurant, 7:00 p.m.
An evening to celebrate Hanukah and protect refugee women in Darfur!
As we celebrate the miracle of our own people’s limited resources, let’s also help women facing limited resources across the
globe. The Solar Cooker Project, started by JewishWorldWatch, seeks to protect refugee women and girls who have fled the
genocide in Darfur, a region of Sudan. Women in this region are particularly vulnerable while performing the critical task of collecting
firewood for cooking. By providing the refugee women with an alternative cooking option, the solar cooker, the women
are able to remain within the relative safety of the camp by reducing their dependency on wood.
Fasika Restaurant, 510 Snelling Ave N., St Paul, 55104
Cost: $36 (Includes great company, dinner, dessert, drinks, and one solar cooker for women in Darfur).
RSVP by December 1 to SandyWolkowicz at sandyww@aol.com or (612) 759- 2512
